Although hand-eye coordination is an instinctive developmental skillset that cannot be taught, parents can encourage children with stimulating toys and games β½. Hand-eye coordination can help children in various activities like catching a ball, handwriting βοΈ and life skills like feeding themselves π₯’ ! Here are some activities that are easy for you to practice with your little onesΒ π
π‘Stacking and building games – Through stacking, they learn the concept of balance and keeping a tower upright. They also help children practise hand-eye coordination and introduce them to numeracy concepts like size, color, height etc.
π‘Cut it up βοΈ – Start cutting with simple strips of paper and slowly try toΒ cut inΒ different patterns and shapes. You can even offer different types of paper. You can also have her cut open biscuit and cereal packaging and foster independency.
